Our home was flooded during the Iowa City flood of 2008. Our good friends Vern and Jon took us in. Kim and I have a new home now but each time we step through Vern and Jon’s door we will always remember how welcome we felt and the comfort that they provided.  Their home was our safe haven. Thank you Vern and Jon!
